# The Candidature The Candidature is a pre-launch SaaS application that finds jobs that fit the person, not just the resume. It builds a working profile of each candidate beyond the resume, reads hiring threads and company career pages the big boards miss, scores each opening against the whole profile with reasons, and drafts tailored resumes with every change reviewable. End-to-end application preparation and a dedicated search inbox arrive with early access. Nothing is sent without the candidate's approval. ## Positioning The product is for white-collar knowledge workers in finance, engineering, and product who want the right roles, not more applications sent blindly. Most tools match keywords on a PDF; The Candidature matches on the person. Candidates describe the work they are proud of, what they want more of, and what they are done with, and that fuller picture drives discovery, resume tailoring, and company briefs. The supporting promise is human-approved automation: the system prepares the work, and nothing is sent until the candidate approves it. ## Core workflow 1. Profile: the resume plus the candidate's own words (a short pitch, impact stories, things to emphasize or avoid) and weighted preferences (seniority, pay, location, industry). 2. Discovery (Scout): reads hiring threads, startup communities, and Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby career pages directly. Many of these roles never reach the big boards. Each opening is scored against the whole profile, with reasons shown. 3. Briefing: a daily summary with the strongest match and one recommended next action. Each role opens with the original posting, fit evidence, pay signal, and company research assembled. 4. Resume Studio: drafts a tailored resume for each role from the candidate's real experience, lays every change over the original, and lets the candidate approve, reject, or rewrite each one. A readiness check scores the draft against the posting's own language. 5. Applying (arriving with early access): applications prepared end to end (tailored resume, form, answers), then shown in full before anything is sent. Nothing goes out until the candidate says so. 6. Correspondence (arriving with early access): a dedicated search inbox where every employer reply lands attached to the job it belongs to, with replies sent from inside the record. ## In development (not live) - A calendar and to-do list built from search mail (interviews, deadlines, follow-ups). - External calendar connect with interviews auto-scheduled inside candidate-set hours. - An adjustable autonomy setting: review every document, or let the search run and read the log afterward. ## Trust model - Built from real experience: resumes are generated only from the candidate's base resume and profile. A skill that is not theirs never appears. - Human approval: every submission is a human decision. The product prepares; the candidate sends. - No recruiter commission: the candidate is the customer. No fee from employers or recruiters. - Privacy by design: resume and search history stay in the candidate's account and are used only to run their search. ## Pricing and access Plans start at $19 per month for Briefing. The full Search tier is $59 per month, or $590 per year with two months free. Coach is $149 per month and includes five active clients, with $15 per additional active client. Concierge is a sales-led engagement at $2,500. Joining the waitlist is free and requires no card. Early access opens in waves with setup instructions sent by email. ## Important answers Question: Will it apply to jobs without me? Answer: No. The candidate sees every finished application first: the form, the answers, and the attached resume. Nothing is sent until they approve it. Question: Can resume drafts invent experience? Answer: No. Drafts are bound to the base resume. The studio tailors emphasis and wording for each role and lists every change for review. Question: Why are there no testimonials? Answer: The Candidature has not launched yet. The public page shows the real interface instead of borrowed logos, invented user counts, or pre-launch testimonials. ## Canonical pages - [Home](https://www.thecandidature.com/): product overview and method. - [Launch list](https://www.thecandidature.com/waitlist): join the private-beta waitlist. - [Who we are](https://www.thecandidature.com/who-we-are): the team and mission behind The Candidature. - [Field notes](https://www.thecandidature.com/field-notes): writing on the job search and hiring. - [Privacy](https://www.thecandidature.com/privacy): how candidate data is handled. - [Terms](https://www.thecandidature.com/terms): terms of service. - [Security](https://www.thecandidature.com/security): security practices and safeguards. - [Ethics](https://www.thecandidature.com/ethics): our ethical commitments.
